Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cloudy Water I have used this This product for years, but for the last three months my water has been looking like someone poured milk into my pond. This did not stop me from using Tetra Pond Products. I siwtched over to Tetra Pond, Pond Flakes: my water cleared up in less than a week.

Asked by: bigfoot456
We're sorry, but no, we do not, as flakes are not commonly fed to ponds, other than for smaller fish. BREX

Why do PondFood Color sticks migrate to walls?

I tried a different product this time. PondFood Color. When I put them in the pond they immediately disperse and then cling to the walls of the pond, vegetation, and piping. They do not free float where the fish can get them. The sticks are still there hours later and the fish are where they normally wait for food, behaving as they do when they are awaiting food. What can I do to get the food to stay in free water where the fish will eat it? As it stands, I will not only not buy the product again, I won't be able to finish this container.

All food will eventually go where the current takes it, usually to walls, plants, etc, where it will lodge in place. You might want to turn your pump off temporarily, or feed further away from the water movement. I toss food in the middle of my fairly large pond (I have approximately 5000 gallons of water) but some food always ends up along the sides, unless I feed small enough amounts that the fish can consume it before it has time to drift with the current into a wall or plant. I feed Variety Blend Foodsticks. BREX
