Do you still make the combined koi growth and colour sticks........or are they now separate products?

Asked by: Juless
The only combined food we have ever made is this one: http://www.tetra-fish.com/Pond/Products/pond-fish-food/variety-blend-food.aspx. We have never had one with the growth and color diets combined. BREX

How small of fish can eat this? Are they a mini pellet or a flake? I need to feed my newborn fry.

Asked by: bobbi
These are a small foodstick. For fry, you would need to crush it and mix it with a small amount of water to create a curry. You then pull some up into a syringe or an eye dropper and squirt it over them. One they are 1/2 inch or so in size, you can start feeding small flakes. BREX

For your Koi Growth, it states "...younger fish". What would the max. length be for this "koi growth" food?

Asked by: Jpathman
Koi reach a maximum growth of 2-3 feet, so feed this food up until they are at least 18", in general. One issue here though, is that koi kept in too small of a pond and not receiving regular partial water changes may never attain their possible growth. ( a single koi requires 700-1000 gallons of water) In which case, feed the food for approximately the first 5 years of their life. BREX

Is this a good food for my four inch Koi fry?

The food I am feeding my Koi right now is for tropical fish. Would this food be suitable for him? Thanks, Jake
Asked by: Jake45632
Hi Jake, Definitely! This will provide the necessary nutrients for growth. Feed 2 or 3 of these sticks once or twice a day. BREX
