Can you split the cubes to compensate for small fountains, 3-5 gallons?

Asked by: EddFred
You can cut the cubes, yes, but not to that small of a size. Each block treats 30-80 gallons so even if you cut it into a quarter of a block, you are treating at least 7-8 gallons. If you do not have fish or other animals in the fountain, this will be okay. BREX

Does this product kill mosquito larvae? Or prevent mosquitos from breeding? We have a medium-sized recirculating concrete fountain & can keep algae & mosquitos from growing in it. We are thinking about getting chlorine tablets...

Asked by: TiaMay
No, it does not, it only controls algae. Generally, circulating water will prevent mosquitoes, so perhaps you just need to increase the flow? The chlorine will eliminate the algae, but not the mosquitoes, either, I don't think. BREX
