Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleared water after a week I have a new pond with a UV biofilter. First few weeks it was green then tea brown. After adding a few floating plants and using this clarifier it was cleared. Even the walls were clean. Highly recommend if you are pulling your hair out like I was!!!

My pond has green water. We used tetra algae control so now the water coming from the spillway is clear but when we look in the pond it still has green water. We also use tetra sludge reducer. What will clear up the water?

Asked by: sues
If you did one dose, wait 72 hours, and do another dose of the Algae Control. It can take up to 3 doses, 72 hours between each one, to completely clear algae, depending on the amount of algae you have, and type. Also, partial water changes are good. A more permanent preventative method is a UV light. http://www.tetra-fish.com/Pond/Products/garden-fish-pond-equipment/ultraviolet-uv-clarifiers/greenfree-uv-clarifiers.aspx BREX

There was a price tag covering the pond part and I used it in my aquarium my fish are ok except my gold fish can this kill him

Asked by: Duce7
Hi there, Duce7. This product is specifically formulated for outdoor ponds and shouldn't be used in aquariums. We recommend a partial water change to avoid any potential fish loss from overdosing.

Does the water clear firer take the chlorine out of water?

Asked by: Soul
No, it does not. It is only a flocculent, which means it basically clumps particles clouding the water, such as suspended algae so they can be removed. You need AquaSafe to remove chlorine. http://www.tetra-fish.com/Pond/Products/pond-water-fish-care/pond-water-maintenance/aquasafe-pond-water-conditioner-dechlorinator.aspx. BREX

Will this help get rid of my green water?

Asked by: dave11
Assuming you are referring to green water in a pond, yes, it will. However, do not use this product if the water temperature is below 65 degrees, and be sure to provide plenty of aeration. If you happen to have a particularly bad bloom, you may re-dose in 72 hours after the first dose. BREX

No, you should never mix chemicals. I would recommend waiting until the Pond Block is fully dissolved, before using the water clarifier. BREX

Is this safe for use with mystery snails and trap door snails in my pond? There is no way I can take all of my snails and fish out of my 950 gallon pond. Copper is the main concern.

Asked by: JenB75
No, it is safe for fish, but not the snails. The ingredient is aluminum sulfate. There is no copper in it. BREX
