Minimal noise, maximum air flow. The Whisper® Air Pump’s dome shape actually flattens sound wave frequencies. In addition, each model features sound-dampening chambers designed specifically for that model. And the air pump's rubber feet and suspended motor prevent sound waves from reflecting off surfaces such as tables and shelves.

Available in models for aquariums from 10 to 100 gallons, Whisper Air Pumps provide a powerful flow of air. UL listed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from broken tip on 2 pumps I only have whisper pumps on all 7 of my tanks . but the tips have broken on 2 of them where you put the air line , if they fixed that it would be a good pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and reliability Have been through 3 of the 100g air pumps in under a year for a 90g tank 4' long, 18" wide, and 2' deep. Pump sits under aquarium on cork pad on a shelf. Same problem each time - rubber diaphragm tear and failure after several weeks to several months of use. Thankfully only purchased two and pulled remaining good diaphragm from original pump to replace failed diaphragm on 2 week old replacement pump. Now a third diaphragm has failed forcing me to look elsewhere for a quality air pump. Save your money until quality control improves as Tetra does not guarantee the rubber diaphragms - likely due to their high rate of failure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from POJ We bought a whisper air pump (30-60) for our tank. It was very weak and It just didn't push enough air to even start bubbling. Thank goodness we could return it to the store and buy a reliable pump that actually works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Whisper 30-60 broke after 4 months I purchased the 30-60 air pump 4 months ago, and the interior piece that holds the "replacement parts" broke. It has been sitting in one place since I bought it, I didn't move it or drop it. Now I have to buy a new pump.

Why is the Tetra Whisper 100 pump listed as non-UL on some sites, but as UL listed on others? Is it UL listed or not? Thanks.

Asked by: CC Houston
It is both. We have two versions of our air pumps, non-UL for companies and individuals who are purchasing them to put into their own products, and UL approved for the normal, aquarium hobbyist. BREX

Hello, I bought your Tetra Whisper Air Pump (Non-UL) and it does not come with the tube or the air stone.  Can you tell me what size tube and air stone. Thank you  Best regards

Asked by: Adam4449
The tubing is one size for all air pumps and is 1/8" ID. The air stone is up to you, depending on what size tank you own, what you want the air stone for, and what size air pump you purchased. Do you want it just for a bit of oxygen? If so, then a small 1-2 inch air stone should suffice unless you have a large tank. Bubble wands are 4" long or longer, all the way to a couple of feet in length. These require huge air pumps, but make great features when buried under the gravel in the middle of the tank. There are also ornaments that you can run air through to create an effect. BREX

Why do I have to put the whisper air pump 12 inches above the tank?

Asked by: Noutha
We recommend placing it above the tank so water cannot back-siphon into it in the event of a power outage. However, we also note that this is often not possible, so in this case, simply install a check valve in line with the air pump and set the pump either beside or under the tank. BREX

Which whisper air pump is tecommended for a 64l tank.

Asked by: georgie
That depends largely in part on what you want to use it for, but the Whisper 10 should suffice for most applications. If you want a large bubble wand, however, we would recommend the Whisper 20. BREX

can it go into the water?

Asked by: pancakes 21
We appreciate your interest in Tetra products! Unfortunately, no, this is an air pump and it is NOT submersible at all. It sits outside the aquarium. You attach air line tubing to its port or ports and run it to an air stone in the tank, or bubble wand, ornament, etc. BREX

I want to run (2) 14" LED air stones in a 65 gallon tank and maybe a small air stone. Or (1) 30" LED air stone along with a small air stone. With each, what size pump should I get?

Asked by: TL60
Thank you for your interest in this Tetra product! I would actually recommend the Whisper 150 with a 3-way gang valve either way. This pump has the power to push huge bubble wands. The smaller pumps, up to the 100 model, are built differently, and may not provide enough pressure. Plus, they come with a two year warranty whereas the 150 has a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all but the rubber parts. BREX

What air flow/model air pump do you suggest for a 10 gallon tank?

Asked by: Mattie
That depends on what you wish to do with the air pump or what type of application you wish to operate with it, but in most cases, the Whisper 10 is the one we would recommend. BREX
