Which range of NH3/NH4 is measured with this product?

Asked by: Forest
The strip measures both forms by converting one to the other in the process of the reaction on the pad. You can estimate how much ammonia is in each form in the tank by measuring the pH of the water and then using a chart such as is found in http://www.aquaworldaquarium.com/Articles/TonyGriffitts/Ammonia.htm . Hope this helps! BREX

Do strips keep getting darker after 30 seconds?

Asked by: Tanis brentwood
Yes, they will continue to change color. This is why you need to compare the strip to the chart after the recommended time period. BREX

Hi! I was just wondering how long you swirl the test strip in the water and when you read it (do I wait 30 sec)? Thanks

Asked by: Rynn
You don't swirl it, you simply dip it in the water for a brief second to get water on the various pads, then wait one minute for the results. BREX

We bought these from Amazon but it did not include a color chart that allows us to interpret the colors. I dowloaded the on linked here under product manuals and it is not the correct one (for 5 in one test that do not test for ammonia) Kind Regards G

Asked by: Gitte
The color chart is on the back label of the bottle, it is not separate. We are working on correcting the link on our product page. I will email a photo of it to you. BREX

The color chart connected to the ammonia test strips is for the 6-in-1 strips instead of the ammonia. Also, "access is forbidden" for the instructions.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We will get this addressed. BREX

Are there any special disposal instructions for the ammonia test strips like there are for liquid tests? Or can the strip just be thrown into the trash when done?

Asked by: nosirrom
You can just toss it in the trash. BREX
