Hi again What's the difference between aquasafe and pond aquasafe

Asked by: polB
Two totally different formulas due to the fact that one treats an enclosed system and the other treats an outdoor water system with access to a lot more organic matter. BREX

What is the difference between AquaSafe and AquaSafe Plus

Asked by: polB
AquaSafe Plus is the current formula. AquaSafe is an older formula that did not have a slime coat additive. It is now discontinued. BREX

Two questions: 1) Is safe use Aquasafe to regeneration Purigen? 2) My Aquasafe expires 2017/07. Is safe to use until 2017/12? Thanks.

Asked by: eduardo1961
Yes, it is perfectly safe to use AquaSafe along with Purigen. The date on the container is a best by date. It will not "go bad", but will begin to lose potency at that point. BREX

can we use aqua safe meanwhile the fish are inside the tank and how many times do we use it in a year?

Asked by: jesus21
Yes, it can be added to the tank with the fish in it. You should do at lease a 30% water change once a month (more often if the tank is small) so you will use it at least with each water change. If you need to top off the tank in between water changes you would also need to use it for that new water as well. BREX

I have a 1 gallon bowl with 1 beta.....could I have too much in there and it harm him? It seems like he cannot see his food...he goes for the pellets and misses them...

Asked by: Hockeygal
Hello Hockeygal! AquaSafe dissipates within 2-3 minutes and is no longer in the water. Your betta needs a tank of 2-5 gallons with heated water. He prefers temps around 80-84 degrees. He may be trying to eat, but not really feeling like it, because he is cold, so he doesn't actually follow through on the attempt. BREX

Can you use this on a aquaponic system to declorinate

Asked by: MJ7789
Thank you for your interest in this Tetra product! We have not tested this product for aquaponic use. However, it will dissipate from the water within 2-3 minutes. BREX
