Hi My daughter has a 10 gallon tank. She has had for just over 1 month. The water level has dropped 25%. I bought the aqua safe to use with tap water. How much do I add to the water? Two teaspoons to approximate 2.5 gallons of water that needs to the tank

Asked by: NEWBIE88
You would add 1/4 of a teaspoon to the new water since it would be one teaspoon per 10 gallons of water. Also, she should be topping it weekly. Allowing the water level to drop this low is not good for the fish or the filter system. Once a month, she should use a gravel vacuum and remove 2 gallons of water while cleaning the gravel, then refill the tank with new, conditioned water. BREX

Hi again What's the difference between aquasafe and pond aquasafe

Asked by: polB
Two totally different formulas due to the fact that one treats an enclosed system and the other treats an outdoor water system with access to a lot more organic matter. BREX

What is the difference between AquaSafe and AquaSafe Plus

Asked by: polB
AquaSafe Plus is the current formula. AquaSafe is an older formula that did not have a slime coat additive. It is now discontinued. BREX

Two questions: 1) Is safe use Aquasafe to regeneration Purigen? 2) My Aquasafe expires 2017/07. Is safe to use until 2017/12? Thanks.

Asked by: eduardo1961
Yes, it is perfectly safe to use AquaSafe along with Purigen. The date on the container is a best by date. It will not "go bad", but will begin to lose potency at that point. BREX

can we use aqua safe meanwhile the fish are inside the tank and how many times do we use it in a year?

Asked by: jesus21
Yes, it can be added to the tank with the fish in it. You should do at lease a 30% water change once a month (more often if the tank is small) so you will use it at least with each water change. If you need to top off the tank in between water changes you would also need to use it for that new water as well. BREX
