Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blue glofish not glowing This tank has worked great. I think I haven't had issues with the air pump because I keep it elevated. My only issues is that blue glo fish don't glow under the blue led light. It was glowing under light in the store tank so I think it's definitely an issue with the light being blue. Is there any way to buy a replacement light of a different color for the 1.5 gal cube glofish tank? I mean a light that's made for the tank not a universal one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied I purchased this kit for my birthday with 2 $8.00 glo fish. For 2 weeks it worked great and then the pump started to act up. Went out and purchased another pump and it worked great for about a week and then started acting up. Went out agIn last night to purchase another pump because I'm afraid I'm going to lose another fish from not having proper air supply and it's not working correctly

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dis pointed We purchased the glotank cube aquarium back in early September. We had issues with our included filter stop pumping water, I replaced the filter and same issue within a week. I went out and bought another new filter and again, within a week same issue. So I went and purchased a new pump filter, the same tetra in size, paid $15 for it and $5. In filters, it worked great for two weeks, then the water stopped flowing, replaced the filter 2x in 1 week and water flow trickled, so I removed the filter and with 2 days the pump, has completely stop moving water. To say we are disappointed is a under statement. I have 2 glo fish that I am worried about and now I have to spend more money and figure out a new home for our 2 glofish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Luv It I got this aquarium for Christmas and I luv it. It has class. I was using it as a community tank but got re-hooked on tropical fish due to the new colorful strains of fish so I bought a 3.5 gallon. I put a Betta in this tank and added two small GloFish for company. I am using a snail for Algae and bottom debris control. The tank is doing great even though I realize that it hold over the amount of suggested number of fish. I do a 1/4 water change weekly, a full water change and clean out once a month and change the filter every two weeks. The only problem I have had is the led light. A strip of the blue bulbs don't light up.It acts like a loose wire or something. It still works though and the tank is so pretty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for kids/bettas or as a hospital tank i had the same problem with the filter sucking up my guppies as mentioned above i solved it by taking a piece of an Onion bag and tying it to the filters intake this protected my fish and doesnt seem to hinder the filters ability to clear the water. only problem i seem to have now is the the filter spews bubbles from time to time im sure it has something to do with my water parameters but have yet to pinpoint the issue any ideas would be appreciated

I inherited this tank from a retiring teacher and cannot seem to figure out how the pump works as I don't see what/where to hook it in. I'm afraid a part might be missing. Is there a diagram for setting it up to make sure I have all parts? I don't see d

Just purchased the 1 1/2 gal cube glo aquarium...Is the pump safe to leave plugged in and running 24/7? We occasionally leave for vacation for 4-5 days, and want to be sure it's fine to leave it running for that length of time.

Asked by: nelson5
Yes, it should definitely run 24/7. It is intended to do so, as this provides oxygenated water to the fish. BREX

I have 1.5 gal tank how many glofish does it hold ? I had 4 total but 2 died within  a week. We changed the water and  two that are left are doing fine.

Asked by: Yoli 65
Two would be the recommended number. You can potentially keep more but in order to do so, you must be willing to do small, partial water changes at least once a week. Additionally, when starting a tank, you want to start with no more than 1 fish in a tank of this size. This helps to cycle the tank through the nitrogen cycle safely. Some other products to consider would be AquaSafe Plus for de-chlorinating the water, SafeStart Plus to jumpstart the biological filter and make the nitrogen cycle less stressful for the fish, and Easy Balance Plus which can be added weekly to help keep the tank buffered, and balanced. I set this up for my daughter 2 days ago and followed the directions. The water is all cloudy today. What can I do? There are only 2glofish in it.

Asked by: Kad14
You are experiencing New Tank Syndrome or a bacterial bloom. Make sure no one is over feeding the tank. They should be fed once a day right now, one small flake per fish until the tank has cycled through the nitrogen cycle. This takes approximately 3-4 weeks. In the meantime, change about 1/4 of the water and put some fresh water into the tank. Make sure it is properly conditioned with AquaSafe Plus or Glofish Water Conditioner if you are using tap water with chlorine or chloramines in it. Test the water daily for ammonia and nitrite levels to ensure the safety of the fish. Do a small, partial water change as needed to keep them below the level of 2.0 ppm. BREX

How many little glow fish should be min or maximum for this tank? We have two in this tank now. Red and green but I just read that over time these two may get aggressive if there are not more with them. Can I add more to this tank or is that too many?

Asked by: Jander1
That depends on which of the glofish species you own. If they are tetras or barbs, yes, they may get quite nippy, depending on their individual personalities. 2 is usually the maximum for this tank except in regards to the danio glofish, then 3 would be allowed. BREX
