Minimal noise, maximum air flow. The Whisper® Air Pump’s dome shape actually flattens sound wave frequencies. In addition, each model features sound-dampening chambers designed specifically for that model. And the air pump's rubber feet and suspended motor prevent sound waves from reflecting off surfaces such as tables and shelves.

Available in models for aquariums from 10 to 100 gallons, Whisper Air Pumps provide a powerful flow of air. UL listed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand New And Sucks! I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't pump air below the surface of the water. I have a ten gallon aquarium and the Whisper 10..... even at the top it has weak bubbles. It is letting out maximum air. I am very angry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Strange Problem I bought a Whisper 40 16 months ago. I use it for an air stone. Never had a problem. A day ago I heard a gurgling noise. What was all over the floor and the tank was one third down of water. I do have one way valve on it. I checked all tubing found no leaks. Tank didn't leak. I left the pump on and placed it on a table. That is when I heard the gurgling sound. The pump has water in it and I found a crack on the bottom of the pump shell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service I bought the Whisper 100 in Sept of 2017. It worked great for the first month or so and then started getting loud and then louder and louder. I've purchased many Whisper air pumps and this is the 1st one I've ever had a problem with. I called customer service and they sent me a diaphragm repair kit. Changing out both diaphragms worked for a few weeks but the vibrations and noise started again. This time my call resulted in the offer of a new pump. Sarah with customer service was great. Tetra products are great. Here's hoping they get the problem worked out with this air pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better box instructions I bought my kids a fish tank for Christmas. I bout the pump as well. You would think they'd tell you what's included & what's needed for the pump on the box. Instead I had to find out after I opened the box to read THE INSTRUCTIONS. Its definitely stressful putting a fish tank together for the 1st time, don't need the extra stress of having to make extra trips to the store. Not sure if it works yet bc I'm abt to go BACK to the store for what's not included. THANKS TETRA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, quiet, and efficient I have three Whisper pumps and have found them to be reliable, quiet, and efficient. I use one outside in Dallas, Texas that has run constantly for a year and a half through freezing weather and extreme heat without missing a beat. A larger unit on my 55-gallon aquarium still works fine after three years. These are good pumps.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very quiet but disappointing how qickly it broke I bought the 30 -60 gal early last spring and was very happy with the air flow and particularly how quiet it was but after less than a year the air stopped flowing. Turned out the rubbers inside broke. Since I love the pump otherwise I am searching for replacement parts but finding out that's not economical. It may be good if they would provide at least one set of replacement part with the product. I would recommend for the design style and quietness but you may need to replace it earlier that expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as designed Works as designed...no frills, a reasonably quiet, inexpensive pump with good vibration isolation with the soft rubber feet. I own two of their small units.

Hi there, I have a whisper 30-60 air pump. I am just wondering what the air flow of it? Is it a range or a specific number? And what size of tube can it connect with? Thanks for your help!

Asked by: Emmmmma
The tubing would be 1/8" id. The flow is 2.6 liters per minute. BREX

So, instead of buying a cheap air pump, I bought the Whisper 100 w/ dual outputs. And it worked great...for one month, now nothing. Still buzzes, just doesn't push air. Bad diaphragms? Pretty dissatisfied.

Asked by: Tyler The Terrible
Sorry to hear this Tyler! Did you use a check valve? If not, water may have back siphoned into it. Another possibility is that the air stone or wand is clogged. Please call our Care Team for help with troubleshooting this pump, and a possible replacement. 1-800-526-0650. BREX

I can see that BREX has answered the PSI question many times. However, I want to know if I can use this aquarium pump with a device that requires a pressure of 80 PSI, or so, in order for the air to be forced through it. Is that possible with this pump?

Asked by: iPaul
Nope, it is not, sorry iPaul! BREX

For pumps with 2 outputs, if only one is in use will air come out of the other regardless? Thanks

Asked by: Betta Boy
Yes, and that will wear the diaphragms out more quickly, as there will be an increase in back pressure. It will also make the pump more noisy. You must use both ports, even if you have only one air stone. Just tee them together. BREX

I bought the 60 almost a year ago. It works just great. Recently it has started vibrating more and more. We only use one of the two air outlets. When I place my finger over the one not in use, it stops vibrating. Would it be safe to cap that off?

Asked by: Elizabeth_70
The issue is using only one port. You always have to use both ports, otherwise, you increase the back pressure on the pump and wear out the diaphragms more quickly. Always tee the two together and use them both, if you have only one application. Most likely you are now in need of new rubber parts, but you can try installing the air pump properly first, and see if that helps. BREX

I just hooked up 2 airstones to a whisper 40 for a 36 gal tank. Only 1/3 of the larger air stone is working and the smaller one doesn’t work at all. I am using a metal t valve and no air is coming through at all.

Asked by: Wabridge
Well, depending on how large the larger one is, it may be too big, but most likely the stones haven't had time to build up pressure. T valves don't work well when one stone is larger than the other, because the air will ultimately go in the direction of least resistance. It's hard to get even flow. You might try a 2 way gang valve instead. BREX

Hi, the instructions say not to put the pump on top of the tank. Is this a safety issue (e.g. extra vibrations being bad for the tank) or more for preference?  The best place for it to go in my tank would be on the hood.  Thanks

Asked by: MomoG
Safety reasons as it could get knocked in the tank. Also, the vibrations may be annoying to some fish. If you don't have a place up above the tank, buy a check valve to insert inline, and place it under the tank. BREX

Hi Sir Is this product selling in Singapore? What you would recommend the model for a 100 litres( using for 2 corner bubble filter ) fish tank? I'm keeping goldfish. Thanks

Asked by: Vincentlock
We do not know if this sells in Singapore or not, as we only handle North America, ourselves. However, we do sell products all over the world. Our international site is https://www.tetra.net/. Please visit it and click on the link to your country. You would need the Whisper 60 for what you wish to do. BREX
