Thank you, Rhonda, for sharing this Fish Tale with us:
I had my fish pond for a few years and my goldfish were doing rather well. One spring, while playing golf, my father noticed tadpoles in one of the small ponds on the golf course. We decided to add a few to my fishpond. I had not realized they were the big bullfrog type tadpoles and they grew up fast and furious. By September they were big and fun to watch on the pond's edge.
I also did not realize that bullfrogs would eat fish, and I was surprised to arrive home one day and see a frog with the tail of a large goldfish sticking out of its mouth. Happily, I was able to catch the frog and save one of my largest fish. She forever had a mark on her side where she lost some scales, but she lived long afterwards and from then on was named Froggy, after the bullfrog that we happily donated to a nearby natural pond.
