Q. I have Koi fry, but they are growing very slow compared to what I have read in other articles about the growth rate. What should I feed them from newly hatched and long-term as they grow?

A. First off, try to keep your just-hatched fry separated from your mature Koi as they tend to eat their just hatched young. In the beginning, small fry will survive off of algae and other nutrients inherent in the pond. As my fry grew, I began to use TetraPond Flaked Fish Food, which their tiny mouths could accept.
