We have two cats that wandered up to our house three or four years ago looking hungry and lost. My wife fed them and they never left. We took them to the vet to have them fixed and got their necessary shots. The cats love to lounge around the pond, which has two waterfalls and about twenty Comet Goldfish. Last summer we had a couple of friends over for a cookout and were standing out on the deck looking at the pond. My friend asked if the cats had ever accidentally fallen into the pond. Just at the moment he asked, one of the cats was at the edge of the pond drinking water (which they prefer over tap water) when the other cat crept up from behind and swatted her with her paw, startling her and she jumped spread eagled right into the pond. The timing of the question couldn't have been more perfect! The poor cat fought for dear life to get out and we all laughed until tears were streaming down our cheeks. I don't think I'll ever forget that moment!
