I know this is an old thread, but I've bought tanks at Goodwill. I got a couple 10 gals for $4 each. Last week they had a 30 long with all the equipment for $30 or 40! Too bad someone bought it first. (of course you have to check for leaks, but I've been lucky so far!).

Newbie fish keeper. Forgive my ignorance. Don't hate, educate! 65 gal: 4 angels, 2 apple snails, 2 DG, 2 platys, a raphael cat, rainbow shark. 30 gal: one fantail and one oranda goldfish 23 gal hex: 6 serpae tetras, 5 african dwarf frogs, one platy 10 gal: one black/blue crowntail betta

It doesn't matter how old the thread is in cases like this. This information is useful to current members.
I don't care for people dredging up old threads when the subject has been long closed, but where to buy low priced tanks is a subject that never closes.

Thanks. Esp in this economy! And its not like fishkeeping is an inexpensive hobby, thats for sure.

Wow didn't even think about looking for cheap fish tanks at a goodwill and there's one in town too thanks BeavisMom62
