I know this is an old thread, but I've bought tanks at Goodwill. I got a couple 10 gals for $4 each. Last week they had a 30 long with all the equipment for $30 or 40! Too bad someone bought it first. (of course you have to check for leaks, but I've been lucky so far!).

30 gal: one fantail and one oranda goldfish
23 gal hex: 6 serpae tetras, 5 african dwarf frogs, one platy
10 gal: one black/blue crowntail betta

It doesn't matter how old the thread is in cases like this. This information is useful to current members.

I don't care for people dredging up old threads when the subject has been long closed, but where to buy low priced tanks is a subject that never closes.

Thanks. Esp in this economy! And its not like fishkeeping is an inexpensive hobby, thats for sure.
