It is horrible and depressing. Not to even be safe on base.

Woops, Slipped on a wet floor. Broke tush, leg and wrist. I thought I would have to give up fishkeeping until I read on this forum about the Python. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I bought one and can now change my tank water again by myself.

You are wonderful!

you broke all that! are you ok now? ((hugs)) One timemy mom tripped over our dog, our prior dog , and broke her ankle!

Just watch with the python it doesn't suck up your fish, you know how inquisitive they are and it's a big tube. I do not use mine to do gravel / sand vac'ng just remove and refill water so I put a soft black mesh on the bottom and attached with pony tail elastics.

Mine never really cleaned the substrate well anyways, not enough suction, butit does refill and drain well.

It's raining here today.

Thanks for the hugs! I'm all finished with physical therapy and am walking well.

Thank you for the tips about using the python. I will definitely keep all of them in mind. I appreciate the advice very much.

I live in the Houston area and we are having wonderful weather now. It is a nice break from the summer heat.

I'm glad you are doing better, Gram.

It has finally cooled off here. Might freeze soon. Need to get the outside faucets wrapped.

I have been at jury duty all week. I didn't think I had the attention span for it but it turns out I do. Overall I'd say the experience has been pretty boring but with any luck we will be done tomorrow. Closing arguments are in the morning and with any luck we can make a decision by 5pm so I can have at least one day off to get some work done around the house :P

I hope everyone else is doing well. I haven't read too many posts, there were too many new to really catch up.

I hate jury duty. For many years I was never picked for a jury. I never understood why. I wanted the time off from work. I was picked once. The man was guilty, but the jury (we) were hung. We could not agree. I won't go into detail, but the judge was really upset with us. One juror would not vote guilty because the police did not have any corroborating witnesses. What a crock. The judge threw out the case, then threw the man back in jail to await a retrial.

I could not understand about half of what that man screamed at the judge, and what I did understand is not repeatable. The man's family caused a scene (if you can call his mother and several of his "women" family). They were forced out of the courtroom shouting obscenities. Security had to clear the hallways before they would let us leave (the man really was dangerous) and security escorted us out.

I hope I am never on another jury. I hope yours turned out better than ours did.

Ours was a little better, but I am glad it is over and I hope to never be picked again. Your experience sounds terrible.

We are going to the in-laws. Unfortunately they are on some crazy diet where they are only drinking 'shakes' and no solid foods. To feed everyone my MIL is ordering dinner from a grocery store. It will probably still be good, but not quite the same. It will be nice to get together with everyone though, and I am glad they are on this diet because my FIL's weight was getting to the point where his health was becoming very poor.
