Default I love my angelfish

That's all. They are just so darn cute. I have six platinums all nickle to quarter size. They just float; they barely look like they are putting any effort into swimming at all. And when they eat they make a loud smacking noise - I haven't noticed any of my other fish make that noise yet.

I'm hoping to get a 75 gallon before Christmas so when they get bigger and more aggressive towards each other I will have room for them. I also have a friend who wants a pair if I end up getting two 'pair' out of the six. If I do great. If I don't they are still the cutest little guys ever.

I love angelfish, also. When my gouramis finally get old and die, I may go with angelfish. Not sure yet.

I almost got gouramis but one of the guys I was talking to said they are prone to some sort of disease that takes a while to show itself so the qt for them is recommended at 2 months. I try my best, but I know I'm not that patient

Yes, they do tend to be prone to iridovirus. FYI, Angelfish are also known to contract iridovirus.

You are so right: angelfish are very cute! One morning I woke up and looked in my tank only to see one of my angels on its side in the middle of the tank. I watched for a second and all of a sudden it took off. Hmmmm he was fin nipping another angelfish. He sort of looked like a cat when it turns its head sideways and swipes out with an arm.

As soon as he saw me watching he straightened up and came to the edge of the glass. I said "Are you playing nicely?" to which I think he replied "hi Mom, when's breakfast".

that's so cute, gram!

The private fish store I like to go to here has a few huge displays tanks and one has angelfish. So graceful and flowing and beautiful. Yet they also look like they can get down to business and do not put up with much from other fish.
