Rated 4 out of 5 by from really good pump I purchased this pump sometime back and have used it in out of the ordinary ways. I originally bought to operate on a small koi pond and it performed well. Since had went to a much larger pond, so this pump was put asdie. It has since been used to pump out my vortex filters, drain my lotus pond when needed, as well as pump dirty water from in ground holes. This little pump finally broke some cover pieces and I currently need it. I emailed to purchase parts and found I can not do so, but can be sent to me under warranty. They never questioned me on purchase date(which I am quite sure was outside the warranty period) , but opted to send me the parts. I will now put this pump back into action and see how much more it will work. I only wish they would sell parts as I know in the future I will need more. I think this pump will last a long time. 4&1/2 stars. It could be a little more energy efficient.

TetraPond DynaMag 500. Can the flow be adjusted?

Asked by: 64 impala
No, not unless you insert a ball valve into the tubing. BREX

i do not see where two ports in and out in pump325

Asked by: mike f
The inlet is on the end of the pump, where the pre filter cage is attached. Remove the cage, and you'll see an impeller cover with a threaded end. The outlet is on top of the pump. BREX

I just purchased a 325 GPH. I see where the fountain is but where is the place to connect the Tetra Flat Box filter?

Asked by: Stutz
You would take the pre-filter "cage" off of the back side, and it attaches to the impeller cover. BREX

Not necessarily the intended purpose, but would these pumps be suitable for saltwater? More specifically, to use as a return pump from the sump to a reef aquarium.

Asked by: JonKara
You can use them for that purpose, but the saltwater may corrode them over time. We have not tested them for that purpose, but they won't be toxic. Use distilled white vinegar frequently to clean the salt creep and calcium deposits. BREX

I just bought the wgp700 and the tetra skimmer. When I open the cage, no fittings that I received fit the inlet. What do I need to buy please?

Asked by: ChrispyPfdf
The skimmer's "inlet" is actually the weir. The outlet is what the pump attaches to and it is a 1.25" outlet. Use the 1" adapter you received to attach to the inlet side of the pump. Run a foot or two of 1" tubing to a reducer that is 1" at one end and 1.25" at the other end. Then run 1.25" tubing from the reducer to the skimmer. Reducers can be found in the PVC section of the DIY hardware store in your area. BREX
