How it works:
The UV Clarifier exposes single-celled algae to very high levels of ultra-violet (UV) light as the pond water is pumped through the device. The algae die and clump together, making them easier for the filter to remove. While the UV clarifier will destroy the algae, water clarity is also dependent on adequate filtration to trap and remove the dead algae.
Positioning the UV Clarifier:
The UV Clarifier should be positioned between the pump and the external filter. Avoid placing the UV Clarifier after the filter, since this can restrict the flow from the filter.
