Is there a "use by date" on Variety Blend 5.29 oz container and how do you read it? How long does product last?

Shelf life is 3 years, after which it will start to slowly lose nutritional value. Best by date is stamped on the bottom of the can. It will be a two digit month/year. BREX

Can the Fall /Spring wheatgerm food be fed year round ? My Koi are well established and avg 10 -12 inches and I have a 250 gal garden pond.
