What size do you have for a 46 gal. tank?
We would recommend 29039, which is for tanks from 29-55 gallons in size. It comes with two light sticks, each one of 13" in length. We appreciate your interest in this GloFish product, so please let us know if you have any more questions!

i'd love to see a sm pic of the leds in blue only mode simply for reference
in the pic on box, it appears that the blue are mainly in the center.
i'm not looking for them to be full-length, i'd actually prefer they're not...
i was just curious.
Thank you for your interest in this product! Unfortunately, we do not have a picture depicting the blue only mode.

Is there a video on how to clip the light on an aquarium. Have a very small aquarium. Purchase a 6" LED glow light stick. The way I see it to Clio it the light points upward. I am doing something wrong I guess. ????
We appreciate your purchasing this Tetra product! Unfortunately, no, we do not have a video of this. I suggest you email a picture of how they are installed to firstname.lastname@example.org so we may review it, and provide you with some tips.

Will this light be ok to keep plants alive?
Thank you for your interest in our products! No, unfortunately, it does not have the right Kelvin rating for live plants.

I bought a 60 Gallon tank and it came with a strip of 2 sticks of white and blue all on one power source. Is this the GloFish 55 light kit?
Thanks for your question! No, if it were a Glofish kit, all of the LEDS would be blue only. It sounds like you have a 55 gallon Aquarium Kit, but not one specific to glofish. You can use it for glofish, however.

I have a octagon fish tank 25-28 gal. and I have a 2 stick led light and it does not clip on am I doing something wrong... It's for a 55 gal or less light...it seems like the ends hids the corners....
Sounds like the light is too large for your tank, you need to return it to the store, and buy the next size down. Each of the LED strips is 10" long. Measure one of the panels of your tank to see if it is not as wide as 10". You may need the one below this size, for a 20 gallon tank, instead.

The way my aquarium is if I put these on to the edge the light will be partially in the water will that be okay. If not can I attach it to the plastic that serves as a hood
They are waterproof so that is not a problem.

i have a 55 gal tank. what type led light do i need
That depends on what you want to keep in the tank. You would need at least the 48" Single Bright LED by Marineland. However, there are planted LEDS, Glofish LEDS, and other options.

I have a 15 gallon tank, which is 24" long. Would I be better off with one 13" light (29029), or can I use the 29038 (2 x 10")?
I would say that depends on the height of the tank as well. If this is a standard 15 gallon which is only 12" tall, the one light should work fine. If you intend to have live plants at any point, the 29038 would be the better choice. Also, consider if you ever hope to have a larger tank, such as a 20 or 25 gallon, which light would work better in that situation.

Wil the glofish led light stick light up a 60gl tank? ??
Item 29039, which is for tanks 29 to 55 gallons would light it up enough, yes. Keep in mind this is a dark blue light, however, so it will not be bright.

I just bought a 55 gallon and it only came with the white led light strand I was wondering if they have blue led lights too and what other colors
I have 55 gall came with the white led light strand was wondering if they have blue and white or just blue or just white or any other colors.
We make a couple of different 55 gallon kits, and one comes with light bars that have blue and white leds. That would be our Marineland version. If you wish to add blue, you can do so with the Glofish light sticks or the Marineland Hidden LED which connects to the top frame of the tank.

I have 2.5 Gal. tank should I buy GloFish® LED Aquarium Light Stick? Is it good 8''
glass canopy is aviable
As long as your tank has a black frame that you can clip the led light stick to, it should fit just fine.

What size blue light would I need for a 29.5 x 11.5 aquarium. I am told it is a 40 gallon.
I have Glo fish and my hood has some blue lights but not enough. I can't seem to find anything but an 8 inch glo light. I don't want a bunch of lights.
There are several other sizes of the blue LED light bars. We have one that is for 10 gallon tanks, and one that is for 55 gallon tanks or smaller. The one for 55 gallon tanks can fit in a 28" long tank and consists of two of the LED light bars. The item number for this system is 29039-00.

Lights needed for 40 gallon breeder tank?
My son wants some GloFish, and I have a spare 40 gallon breeder tank I plan to set up for his room .. what type lighting would you recommend?
Oh that will be so cool! We have a 300 gallon glofish tank in our lobby and it is amazing!
I find that customers get tired of blue lighting all the time, so I usually recommend either the LED Light Strip or the Advanced one, in case they want some other fish or live plants later on. The Advanced is brighter and will support some low light live plants. It also has a timer so you could set the white and blue lights to both be on part of the time, or just have blue lights on. That can be handy. Be careful to not run the blue lights constantly though, as I have found they tend to cause algae. Also, the glofish need a day/night cycle like all fish.

GloFish LED Light Stick for a 29 Gallong fish tank
I purchased a 29 gallon tank which comes with LED lights, but would like to upgrade with GloFish LED Light Stick for 55 instead by purchasing it online, except I can't seem to to be able to select this option on your site, can you help??
If you and I are visiting the same page on the site, you would need to click on the option for two 13" light sticks. They do not describe them as being for a 55 gallon tank.

Stick light vs. 8 inch blue LED light
I purchased the 29 gallon with LED lights instead of the fluorescent. I want to add the blue light for the glofish, and I'm aware that I shouldn't keep it on for a long time because of algae. The 8 inch blue LED has 15 blue lights and it looks like I'll need 2 for my 29 gallon. Since I'm not thrilled about having 2 plugs, I was wondering if the blue mode of the Glofish light 55 would be equivalent or close enough to the two 8 inch blue LED light.
The Glofish 55 LED light has 24 blue lights, and would definitely be equivalent to the two 8" sticks.

How effective is the blue light in a 50 gallon aquarium?
I was just wondering how visible this would make my 50 gallon tank, or, would I be better off having my regular white light and getting a separate blue light?
I'm not sure what you are asking exactly, but if you were wishing to use just the blue light in the link, then I would recommend keeping the white light and having a separate blue light.

what is the differance between the glow stick and the glow light
I have a glow tank I went from a 10 gallon that I bought in a glow tank kit, With the led lights in the top of tank. Then i got a 30 gallon, and cant find a resonable light in cost. so I bought a bulb that was supposed to like the led, but it is not that great. So will the 2 led sticks work for my tank? Will it make it glow pretty again?
I'm really not sure how to answer your question. Did you purchase the blue lunar style glo sticks, changing glow sticks, or white ones? It will depend on the type that you bought, as to how it will show off your tank. Two sticks should suffice, in the 13" length.

where do the light sticks plug in?
do the light sticks plug in at the same place as the fluorescent tube and therefore use the same on/off switch? Or do they turn on separately?
We are LOVING the glofish...so beautiful even with just our fluorescent lights. We can hardly wait for the blue light though.
I am very happy about supporting anti pollution efforts with my purchase of glofish! Thank you for that!
They are separate from the fluorescent lights and have their own switch. You attach them to the inside of the top frame of the tank, directly under the frame.

Small tank lights
I have a 2 gallon tank with glass top and need white led lights to set on top of it. The top is 10 inches long. I seen these in walmart but the side of the box said blue and switchable to white . But under that it said white lights not included.
So can it be switched to white or not. Or can you recommend a light system ?
I've looked at several lights here on our product shelf and can't find one that says white lights not included, so I'm not sure what you are looking at. We have several short led light sticks. They are either solid blue or red only, a blue and white combo that allows you to choose whether you want to have both blue and white on at the same time or just blue, or they are the Colorfusion which change colors. With the latter ones you have a switch that you push to pause the light on the color that you like, whether it be white, blue green, pink or whatever. None of these glosticks are for laying on top of a tank, they all attach inside the tank, under the frame.
The only one we have for laying on top is the Marineland LED Light which is 11.5" long.

How many lights on the 55 Led light stick, and does it replace fluorescent bulb
I have a 29 gallon aquarium that houses 6 Tetra Glofish. I would like to replace the fluorescent lighting on it. I am wondering if the Glofish LED Light Stick 29 & 55 gallon (the one that has 2 13" strips) will replace that light fixture, or will I still have to use the fluorescent bulb with it? I also would like to know how many white lights, and how many blue lights total are on the sticks?
There are a total of 24 lights per stick. 12 of each color. Yes, it can replace the fluorescent lighting.
