I'm not sure I understand what you mean by it being a box, not an aquarium. Perhaps an acrylic kit? In any case, a betta needs 2-5 gallons of water, so with the snails in there, it should be at least close to 5 gallons of water. Feed the betta 1-2 pieces of food once a day. As to the wafers, break them into four quarters, or at least into two halves. Feed one small portion for the snails every other day. Do a partial water change of the tank 1 or 2 times per week.
